Dear AEGIS community and all global Africanists,
The deadline of 15 September 2024 is fast approaching for submission of panels for the tenth ECAS, European Conference on African Studies. ECAS 2025, organized by the Czech Association for African Studies under the auspices of the European Association of African Studies (AEGIS), will take place in the beautiful city of Prague, 25 – 28 June 2025. The conference is framed by the overarching theme ‘African, Afropolitan, and Afropean Belongings’, while, as always with ECAS, there is space for a wide range of research themes and topics to be addressed.
All the necessary information concerning ECAS 2025 can be found on the conference website: https://www.ecasconference.org/2025/
ECAS has long been one of the world’s largest and most dynamic conferences of Africanists/African Studies researchers. (You can find links to the past nine ECAS conferences here: https://www.aegis-eu.org/past-ecas-conferences) We are looking forward to yet another inspiring and warm-hearted gathering in Prague next June, and strongly encourage you to submit panels – and subsequently papers – for this important event, by the deadline.
Amanda Hammar
President of AEGIS
