Topics

My research focuses on the history of Europe-Africa relations in the 20th century, the history of decolonization and independence in Central Africa, war violences and the circulation of liberation fighters. My work is fundamentally interdisciplinary and transnational, at the intersection of international political history, role of memory and areas studies. I have spent the last years researching the commitment of France and other European countries in African decolonization, with a focus on using previously unpublished archives.
