The Summer School of African Politics will take place between 1-3 July 2026, in hybrid format at the University of Lisbon's Institute of Social Sciences and online. The course (taught in English) is aimed at Postgraduate students from a wide range of social sciences and humanities, specially those developing a Master’s or Doctoral thesis on African politics, an professionals and practitioners from across different sectors working on or interested in African politics.
The School in African Politics aims to:
- Offer unique multidisciplinary knowledge of the African continent, focusing on relevant and timely political themes;
- Provide training in research strategies and methods for the analysis of political phenomena in Africa;
- To offer personalized comments to help participants develop research skills and different types of projects (e.g. for research or intervention).
