General information

Official Language
The official language of the conference is English. No translation/interpretation  services are provided by the organisers.

Climate and Clothing
Although June is the Swedish summer period temperatures can vary a lot and there may be occasional rainfalls. Passport and Visas
Delegates are advised to contact the nearest embassy, consulate or travel agency for information about the passport and visa requirements from their country for entry to Sweden. Visa applications in some countries have long processing times and it is strongly advised to submit applications as early as possible. Local Currency
The Swedish monetary unit is the Swedish krona (SEK), divided into 100 öre.

Major credit cards are accepted almost everywhere including taxi. There are several currency exchange offices and cash dispensers at Stockholm Arlanda International Airport and in Uppsala.

Food during the conference
At the conference venue Ekonomikum the restaurant called “Humlan” will be open for lunch at
11.00 – 14.30 hrs on 15 – 17 June, and at 11.00 – 13.00 on 18 June. The cost of lunch (including salad, drink, bread and coffee) will be SEK 70. 

The café at Ekonomikum will also be open during conference days at 09.00 – 16.00 hrs on 15 June, 09.00 – 18.00 hrs on 16-17 June and 09.00 – 13.00 hrs on 18 June.
The café will sell lunch packages for take away during the conference days at a cost of SEK 55 – 70.

Electricity
In Sweden the electrical voltage used is 220/230V.
