Teaching and summer schools

Research Master's Programme in African Studies
The Master’s programme is taught by leading scholars in African studies from all the relevant institutions in the Netherlands and Flanders, including the African Studies Centre in Leiden, which coordinates the Master’s programme.

 

Libraries and information services

Library
The ASC library's collection focuses entirely on Africa, both North and Sub-Saharan Africa. It is the most extensive and specialized collection on Africa in the Netherlands, with 80,000 books, 500 current periodicals (including electronic journals)1,000 documentaries and feature films.

The Africa Thesis Award - Students from Africa are specifically encouraged to submit their theses for this annual competition.
